Community Based Tour

While it remains a unique adventure, we organise Community-based tourism as a way to allow tourists to closely connect to local communities. Our tourists are invited into local homes or local lodges to experience the actual local culture and diversity.

The unique feature of our community-based tourism is that the tourism experiences are hosted and managed by local communities, of course with our direct participation to make sure you enjoy your stay. When organising your trip, we stay away from staged activities to include interaction.

Day 1: Farm Tour

On the first day, you will be interested t with women smallholder farmers who will take you around in their Climate Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture centre to learn about climate adaptative measures taken by the women to cope with climate change effects.

Activities in the centre include visiting the women’s plantations and granaries where their harvest is conserved. The women’s centre offers decent accommodation where to stay in a calm, peaceful and natural environment.

Day 2: Cooking and Tasting Food

The second day will be marked by a large list of culture-immersive activities such as cooking and tasting local food, visiting a local market, walking through the village and working on the field. The day will end with an authentic experience of the local culture and traditions.
